Other Worlds

The passing glance caught in silken tendrils
Chilling skin at the nape
She feels his stare slip under her clothes
Tempting the return of the forbidden
For one touch, one taste, one kiss
What would he give?
Just out of reach she is and stays
His reach too short to entertain
Eyes that pierce and drain his strength
Tear his heart and stir his loins
Lips so soft they beg indulgence
Mouth the words he longs to hear
Through the veil she moves so close
Slowly weaving a steady locus
Clashing stares with cosmic fire
Pale in memory of the act
Fading shade of what can’t be
In other worlds she will be his

Black Star

In quiet dank she stoops alone
A silhouette by candlelight
She shapes upon the dusty floor
An intricate design

Silently she works her hands
Caring not to mar the lines
Passionately slaves away
Within the sacred circle

Quick and light are her feet
To dance among the patterns
She loses in her subtle trance
The will to end the rite

Flickering by golden flame
A shadow slowly rising
It blots the ground on which she traced
The sigil of her lover

Seeping forth it claims the air
The dust it spreads asunder
To make itself of flesh and bone
It takes this new soul hostage

With fear filled eyes she begs its mercy
But none would she be granted
In an act of wanton lust
It enters her completely

Slave to its will she moves alone
Out into the four winds
She puts the earth beneath her feet
A world there is to conquer

No remorse will she feel
Nor release will she receive
As night has been unleashed
The black star has awoken

Hello/Goodbye

You take the time to figure out
What your life is all about
You sit and stare at oceans blue
Searching for a better view
In your head a subtle thing
That flitters there upon the wing
It whispers doubt into your heart
And there your mind it tears apart
To say it is no massive woe
So no one else would ever know
It matters not for in the end
Your will is soft and made to bend
Would he say those words goodbye
Brining you the need to cry
Or did it start with your hello
That makes you feel so very low
Was it then your soul he took
When in your heart the feeling shook
What would it take to make anew
That which is lost or that he slew
The body dull and mind is numb
Caught up in life’s old humdrum
Is this the end, the last embrace
Gone from here without a trace
It matters not as your eyes are dry
If you say hello or say goodbye

Where did you sleep last night?

To and fro
You come and go
Moving whither you will
Out and about
You cry and shout
Scratching upon my sill
Eat as you please
Lounge there at ease
Sleeping whenever you care
Affection you seek
Come crawling so meek
Flirting with anyone there
Sometimes you pout
And never go out
Until the urge has taken
Further you go
To put on a show
Coming back after I waken
The gifts you bring
Though once did sing
Are fairer to you than a jewel
Some look upon
The things that you’ve done
And say it’s undoubtedly cruel
Just so long as you’re mine
We’ll both do just fine
Never to bicker or fight
But off you do wander
So I’m left to ponder
Where did you sleep last night?

Christmas With The Devil

Bright the lights or so they seem
When blinded by your grace
You held me close unto your heart
Secluded in your world
I’m now your fallen angel
The cast-off from your Christmas tree
Where once I sat upon my post
How gloriously I shone
However high you placed me
Always I was with you
Sadly now my shoes are filled
By some anonymous other
How bitterly love turns it’s head
Looking there with loathing
You have my soul but not to keep
Nor the pieces of my heart
Oh how you wish you’d never met
The one you deem abnormal
The monkey on your back
Or the devil at your door
I am a fallen angel
A cast-off from your Christmas tree
Your frail and sparse perfection
I’m seeing through at last

Not The Same

Swimming contently in seductive cerulean
Captured and stunned in penetrative rapture
Held for eternity enticed by curiosity
My own special place in your eyes always open

We fell for each other
Always and forever
Vowed never to change
Not now or ever

Distant and empty those piercing lights
Covertly glancing with secretive shame
Left to drift on the tide ending interest
Cast out from my haven so cold and alone

Do you still love me
Come now did you ever
What made you change
Our vow was forever

Dreamer

What are you thinking?
Lovely daydreamer
Sat there alone with your head in your hands.

What are you seeing?
Lonely daydreamer
Looking afar with your sight beyond sight.

What are you hearing?
Distracted daydreamer
Listening in on a world that’s misplaced you.

What can you smell?
Deluded daydreamer
Some time long ago bringing memories flooding.

What are you feeling?
Melancholy daydreamer
Has your life passed you by in a whimsical melee?

What brings you here?
Hapless daydreamer
Content with your musings if not with your life.

Where would you go to?
Beloved daydreamer
What distant shore so holds your affection?

Were you even there?
Phantom daydreamer
Sat there on my bench or simply my reverie.
